Martial Arts Vs MMA

in Martial-arts

Dear Martial Arts Friend, My name is Carlos Redlich and I need to get this off my chest before I explode! There's only one way I know that you can train REAL martial arts.Yet I see so many so-called experts claiming to reveal their untold secrets on how to train like a "fighter" which are nothing more than a bunch of theories...You deserve nothing but the truth. Let me explain.

I'm one of those people who think this whole MMA trend is a bit out of control. I'm not saying that MMA isn't entertaining but lets get real here, Mixed Martial Arts is not the real deal. Have you ever stopped to think about what's really being fed to you? MMA is something that's meant for the ring or cage and that's fine but it's definitely NOT something that can be COMPLETELY applied to real life situations.

I've been training Jeet Kune Do in Miami for almost a decade and I think you deserve to know the honest truth about trying to get someone in an arm lock or pull some one into your guard when you're out there on the street. I'm not knocking BJJ or anything but having trained in ground fighting I can tell you from experience that grappling in a street fight is not the wisest decision you could make as a human being. There's a similarity at the core of all martial arts, get in and get the heck out! What you want to do is take care of the threat and get out of there as quickly as possible. In no way, shape, or form do you want to roll around on the ground trying to submit your attacker while his buddies stomp you in the head.

It might also not be in your best interest to pull them into your guard. The reason for this is due to the fact that most of the people out there that might want to attack you will have some sort of weapon on them, especially down here in Miami. The last place you want to be is on you back with them on top of you and a knife in their hand ready to slice and dice! I can't stress enough the severity of what kind of training you choose to do. Whatever you train, after a while, become part of your muscle memory and when you react that's what willcome out...

Do you really want to react to just about every situation with you on your back trying to search for a submission? THIS IS THE STREET WE'RE TALKIN' ABOUT HERE! There are rocks, glass, beer bottles and even worse the possibility of your blood all over the concrete!! I for one would much rather learn how to quickly disable ANY attacker with one or two quick moves. If you're STILL not convinced that there's an easier way to win a fight other than rollin' around on the ground and getting yourself all cut up, dirty or worse, then you leave me no choice...Have you ever heard of this guy some of us know as Bruce Lee?

He's considered one of the most influential people of the 20th century according to Time Magazine and that's not all. To put it simply he discovered the most effective way to take out anyone even thinking of attacking you! It really doesn't get any more real than that. He discovered and shared with a select few a little known secret on how to intercept your opponents thoughts and intentions before they even move. You see, if you learn how to pick up on whats going on inside their head then you'll win EVERY time. You'll hit JUST before they move.

Pretty amazing huh? This is what's known as Jeet Kune Do. If you're seriously interested in learning REAL martial arts or the ORIGINAL MMA then you owe it to your self to stop procrastinating and type the city you live in and Jeet Kune Do in Google. For example, "Miami Jeet Kune Do." All fixed patterns are incapable of adaptability or pliability. The truth is outside of all fixed patterns.- Sijo Bruce Lee
